How Do I Create a Group?

After logging into cMe, you can create a group based on your actual use case and invite other members to join.
Creation Steps
- Open the group list or group management screen.
- Choose to create a group.
- Enter a group name.
- Choose a group type: Family Group, Friends Group, Special Group, or Temporary Group.
- If creating a Temporary Group, set an expiration period as required by the page.
- Confirm creation.
- Use the generated invitation code to invite other members to join.
The creator usually becomes the group's admin. Group admins can manage members, handle admin transfers, and manage the group according to the current product permissions.
How to Choose a Group Type
- Family Group: Suited for long-term location sharing among family members.
- Friends Group: Suited for building an ongoing or frequently used sharing group among friends.
- Special Group: Suited for clubs, community activities, specific projects, outdoor teams, or other special purposes.
- Temporary Group: Suited for trips, gatherings, short-term events, or temporary collaboration.
Tip
Group names should be easy for members to recognize. When creating a group for a trip or short-term event, consider a Temporary Group first, so the group's lifecycle matches the actual event.
