Why Can't I Join a Group?
Category: Troubleshooting
Platforms: Android / iPhone (coming soon)
Being unable to join a group is usually related to the invitation code, network connectivity, account status, or the group's current status.
Common Causes
- The invitation code was entered incorrectly.
- The invitation code has expired.
- The invitation code has been revoked or replaced.
- The group has been disbanded, or a Temporary Group has expired.
- The current account is already a member of the group.
- The current account or group has reached an applicable limit.
- The network was temporarily unavailable, so the join request wasn't submitted.
- The app version is too old to correctly process the current group data.
Solutions
- Recheck the invitation code, watching for confused letters and numbers.
- Ask the person who invited you to confirm the group still exists and provide a new, valid invitation code.
- Check your network connection and try again.
- Close and reopen cMe.
- Update to the latest available version.
- Check the group list to see if you've already joined.
If the problem persists, contact cMe support and provide the time it happened, a screenshot of the invitation code error, your phone model, and app version. For security, do not post a valid invitation code in a public channel.
